The clients I see are often in the middle of figuring out what comes next. A college student who has hit the limits of what got them through high school. A young adult who graduated, started working, and is quietly noticing that the life they assumed they wanted does not feel like much. An adult in their forties or fifties navigating the slow reordering that midlife sometimes asks for. A client living with a chronic illness who is doing the second job of living alongside it.
I also work with clients in recovery from alcohol use disorder, and with clients in the earlier stretches when the question is still whether use has become a problem and what to do about that. The work is not about judgment. It is about clear assessment and what you want for your life.
Across all of these, I work directly. I will name what I see, including the things you may already half-know. The work tends to be a mix of practical and reflective: what you do this week, and what is underneath the patterns you keep finding yourself in.
I coordinate with medical teams when chronic illness is part of the picture, and with recovery programs and prescribers when that is part of yours. Therapy works alongside the rest of your care, not in isolation from it.
